Legion Global – Our Mission

At Legion Global, we’re a new name in the defense contracting world, but we’re not new to the mission. Our founding team has decades of experience supporting the Department of Defense in active-duty roles and working for defense contractors in demanding operational environments. We launched Legion to create the kind of company we always wanted to work for: one that puts the mission first, supports its employees, and performs with integrity.

We’ve seen the language of service everywhere in the defense contracting space…talk about supporting the warfighter, backing the employees, and delivering results. But the truth isn’t in LinkedIn posts, corporate events, or technical proposal descriptions—how companies conduct themselves behind the scenes reveals their true motivation.

We’ve noticed a recurring pattern: companies deliver on paper, yet their internal culture slowly erodes because of leadership decisions that put personal gain ahead of everything else.

We’ve worked for companies where the profits were funneled directly to the top as an unchecked siphon. We saw employees’ compensation stagnate despite record profits and crushing inflation, yet they were expected to shoulder increasingly heavy workloads that kept them away from family and friends. And we’ve seen small operational issues lead to major disruptions because of leadership overreaction.

These aren’t isolated problems; they’re flashing warning signs whose effects ripple downward…morale declines, retention slips, and the remaining employees face increasing stress and poor work/life balance.

And to be clear, this doesn’t reflect the intent or motivation of every leader at these companies. Most are doing their best to shield team members from cultural dysfunction and keep the mission moving forward. But without top-down leadership focused on service and support, good intentions aren’t enough.

We started this company because we believed there had to be a better way to lead. At Legion, we decided to build something different. We have a simple premise: the warfighter comes first, the team a close second. We believe long-term success comes from hiring competent professionals, consistently supporting them, and keeping the focus on the work.

Our leadership model is grounded in humility and shared accountability. We believe that respect and professionalism are obligations we owe to every employee. We reinvest profits into our workforce instead of spending them on luxury perks or personal indulgences. We keep profit margins low to ensure employees who work here don’t leave for better offers. Whether you’re a seasoned network engineer or new to the IT field—we’ve built this place for you.

Big opportunities are on the horizon, and we’re going after them with intention and clear focus. We’re not in a race for headlines or ego. We hope agencies and partners investigate the experience of the teams delivering the work, the leadership shaping the culture behind the scenes, and if the incumbents are building something sustainable, or just profitable.

At Legion we don’t want to be the flashiest name in the room, we want to be the most dependable. Because at the end of the day, it’s not about the mansion; it’s about the mission.
